Comic:
One of the best series I've read. The first volume is filled with heart, decent art and lots of laugh. By the time you reach the sixth you love all the characters, happy with the ending but still left wanting more. And that's where my addiction began, so you can bet I was scared by the idea of a game and movie.
Video Game:
Old school beat 'em up like Streets of rage, Battle Toads or Turtle's in Time with classic chiptunes music and a great leveling system. How could it go wrong? Well guess what, IT DIDN'T! It felt like playing my Sega or Super Nintendo without feeling dated. It was fun enough that I beat it with all four characters just to unlock the secret character and am going to beat it with him! I know what you're thinking, a comic book/movie video game that's good, I had my doubts too, but consider my fears shattered! Oh and did I mention Zombies?
Movie:
How? How can you make a movie out of something so random, filled with video game/rock/pop culture references? How could you ever believe you can capture the same emotion and energy? You're a brave man Edger Wright, and I'm sorry when you announced this movie that I doubted you. I'm sorry I thought even your Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz skills wouldn't be enough. You proved me wrong. Although you had to change a lot of information and re-arrange the events a bit, you created a movie that captured the feel and had me enjoying myself the entire time.
Michael Cera, you may still not be 100% Scott Pilgrim in my head, but you did damn good job and I loved your dopiness. Ellen Wong, way to be a awesome high school ninja, I shall attempt to keep track of your future career! Kieran Culkin, you almost stole the show with your banter and energy. Mary Elizabeth Winstead, you did amazing, and I blame the director for your lack of emotion (sorry Edger) cause I could feel your real energy trying to poke through(also Edger admited in an interview that you were too funny and he toned you down). Last but not least, Jason Schwartzman, wow...just wow. Funny but evil, and you know you got something special when I keep having the line "the acoustics in here are AMAAAZZING!!!!" loop in my head just because you have awesome ways of saying everything!
(side note Anna Kendrick, you were a awesome Stacey Pilgrim and you are very very very pretty!)
And about those references, Beck and Metric supplied the perfect bands for Sex Bob-omb and Clash and Demonhead. In the first 2 seconds of the movie you hear sounds from Legend of Zelda. Seriously, this movie made me geek out so much I missed some of the lines and now have to see it again.
So what does this mean? It means I have found the trifecta of nerdum!, a trio of geekyness, A TRI-FORCE OF ENTERTAINMENT POWER! Never have a I known a series of Comics that gets adapted into a movie that really captures everything that's needed. And you top that off with a video game that got me back on the gamespot forums to geek out with fellow gamers? It's never happened! Now all I wish is they had an amazing set of toys! (I'm talking to you Hasbro!...and don't you dare give me that 3 inch B.S.)
So as much as I never want the series to end and would love to know what happens in the lives of all the side characters, I think it should be stopped here and I can forever know it ended in perfection.

Vol. 6 review!!!
You know what would make buying Scott Pilgrim amazing? Having chest pains that cause you to go to the hospital but just turns out to not be a heart problem and is just torn muscles....alright so that's what happened to me!
Review time!
Alright, I'm a huge fan of the series so I am a bit of a "this series can't do any wrong" but hey, reviewers agree with me, so let's just get into it!
Story: What makes a good ending? Answering all the questions from previous books, facing all your demons, growing into a better person, and loving the entire ride. Scott pulled it all off, and kept the awesome subtleness each volume had. The conclude stories spanning all the books and after the conclusion of Stephen Stills story, I went back and skimmed vol. 5 and realized that hinted the conclusion in that volume! The story is solid and keeps you guessing, but still gives you enough hints that your 100% shocked. My only complaint, the final ending was great, but felt like there could be more added. Maybe not a Scott Story, but one of the other people in his life, like Knives, could get a side story written in a brand new style the fits her personality more.
Writing: Funny, clever, and well thought out. The characters feel like real people dealing with real problems, but in crazy ass ways. It's well written and keeps you wanting to read more, especially if your into random comments that are just bizarre but make perfect since in context.
Art: Many complain the art of these comics is childish. It isn't childish, just simple, but that doesn't mean it was always good. Vol. 1 had good designs and dynamic poses, but the line quality sucked and characters did break from model. It seems 6 years is a perfect amount of time to master your art cause all the flaws from Vol. 1 are completely gone in vol. 6.
All and all, I'm happy! Always good to not be upset by your nerd loves.
Oh, and to top it off there are two more clips and one more trailer for the movie and all of them seem great and fairly accurate. The only real changes to the story I've seen are in the Vol. 6 parts, but Edger Wright already warned us he made it a bizarro version of the comic ending and Bryan Lee O'Malley helped write it so we should be good! I'm excited and we all know a review is on the way when that and the game come out!

Not So Lame Life O Mine
So I finally upgraded my PS3 with a 500GB hard drive cause I filled it's old 60GB one (it took 2.5 years to do) and I've been all excited today and have been wanting to play games all day, like having more space means I have more money to get games. As a result I've been thinking about just how lame my life is right now. I mean I'm getting excited about a new hard drive.
So now I am thinking about the exciting things coming in my future like going to the beach with my friends from the 9th to the 12th, Scott Pilgrim Vol. 6 coming out on the 20th, Scott Pilgrim Video game coming out on the July 10th and the movie July 13th (shut up I like Scott Pilgrim a lot), and above all going, in costume with my friends, to the Baltimore Comic Con! See, life isn't all that bad! And there are other little things like hanging with my friend Aaron whenever I can, cause he's moving at the end of the summer, and hanging with my friend Erin cause she's in Philly...and come on, Philly is awesome and there will be random hanging with Tim and Kelly (who are engaged now might I add) and my brother, who may be moving closer at the end of the summer. And you know I'll probably be seeing other friends at points too!
So what's the point of this post? To remind my subconscious that that my life is filled with awesome and I enjoying the little things like an upgraded PS3 is just the icing between me and the truly awesome things to come!

One Sentence Rambling
Alright, so I've been rambling a lot lately, but have really only been saying the same thing over and over again. So I figure I would try something, say all the things that frustrate me right now, but only give them one sentence! Why am I trying this, I don't know....shut up...seemed like a good idea...
I'm currently working a job that is only paying me about a third of what I should be making.
My boss is currently trying to hire someone who is linked to many bad memories and will only cause drama.
I am currently searching for a better job but am finding nothing.
I am being forced to go on a double date that I really don't want to go on, but I will cause I'm a good guy.
I didn't get to see a bunch of my old friends for dinner today after two weeks of anticipation.
I miss my Philly friends because they were like a family to me but now there all at minimal 40 mins away.
I have been asked about my love life by around 20 people in the past two weeks and I'm tired of explaining it.
I suddenly started sleeping poorly again after two weeks of amazing sleep.
I'm stuck living at my dad's till I can find a much better job.
Alrighty, that was fun, I think I even forgot stuff, but if it didn't come to mind it must not be that bad! Now for happy thoughts! PRINCE OF PERSIA MOVIE WAS AWESOME! Alright, so it wasn't exactly as great as the games, but it was good and I had fun and will most likely pick it up on DVD at some point, so good enough!
Scott Pilgrim movie is looking super amazing! I love that comic so to see they are being so faithful makes me happy
I'm going to meet Adam West in two weeks and I'm going to be dressed as Riddler, it will be the best day ever and nothing can ruin that. NOTHING!!! You hear that world!
